Reed City Schools is asking voters to consider an $88.1 million bond this May! With nearly 20 years since the last major facility improvements, our schools are ready for a significant upgrade. This proposal focuses on safety, modern learning environments, and spaces that inspire our students to excel. Enhancing Safety & Security

  • Secure entryway at the middle school

  • New sidewalks and upgraded parking lots for better traffic flow and pedestrian safety

  • Replacement of door hardware on more than 100 doors at G.T. Norman Elementary

Modernizing Learning Spaces

  • Flexible seating for collaborative learning at the elementary school

  • Technology upgrades to support current teaching methods, including fiber and cabling improvements

  • New HVAC systems in the elementary K-2 wing for comfortable learning environments

  • Renovated locker rooms at the high school

Supporting Athletics and Performing Arts

  • A new gymnasium with community walking track and capacity to host MHSAA tournaments

  • Repurposing the old gym into a 600-seat performing arts center for band, choir, and community events

  • Dedicated spaces for the wrestling program and strength training

  • New playground and academic space updates at G.T. Norman Elementary

  • New cafeteria, with the current space converted into a dedicated band room
